About: Morag Myerscough is a London born designer, artist and place maker, Founder of Studio Myerscough whose work is characterised by an engaging boldness, strong use colour and high levels of positive energy. Morag Myerscough studied at St Martin’s School of Art -now Central St Martins- CSM and the Royal College of Art, London, UK. She creates structural installations and immersive spatial works that champion community and public interaction. From schools and hospitals to cultural hubs and town centres Morag Myerscough transforms public spaces by creating engaging experiences for everyone. The Temple of Agape built for the Festival of Love on London’s Southbank in 2014 used public space to create an open, interactive symbol of devotion to love in all its forms. Her strong visual approach is instantly recognisable and elevates every context in which it is placed. Her work is rooted in creating a sense of joy and belonging for all those who encounter it. Morag Myerscough was made a ‘Royal Designer for Industry’ RSA in 2017. She was awarded a 2019 Honorary Fellow, University Arts London (UAL CSM), and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate, Gloucester University, UK, Nov 2019. Recently she was awarded an Honorary Fellow by the Royal Institute of British Architects, UK (RIBA).
